Ashley Baber of Ashley Baber Weddings has tagged me. I admit I have always wanted to be tagged but now I am thinking "what in the world will I talk about". Ashley requested that I tell 6 things about myself that people don't know but I was thinking - I would let the public ask ME questions instead.
I admit that it has taken me a while to get back into the swing of the real world after our European Holiday, I am still fighting going to sleep by 9 every night! Is it jet lag or old age, who knows! Tonight I ventured to the Paisley Umbrella for a little visit with the girls and came away with some of the sexiest shoes, I love Ann Roth of Ann Roth Shoes!
The day before we headed to Europe, in all the rush to pack and such, I got a hair cut. What made me decide that on that day of all days to cut it, I am not sure, you know women are a little crazy like that sometimes! Regardless of the reason, I had 10 inches cut off and sent to locks of love. So bye-bye pony tail and here's hoping some little girl somewhere will get some use out of my strawberry locks!

I thought I would be blogging away from Europe but we were just so busy. So here I am, back at home, settled in and just now getting to posting images from our trip. These are from the villages of Cinque Terre on the northern coast of Italy. It was truly an amazing place, please note you will need good walking shoes to tackle these villages as they are hanging off the cliffs and do not allow cars! Loved it!

After 4 connections, 10 hours in Dublin, 2 hours on the autobahn & 40 hours without sleep, we are now in Germany! Whee! Today after sleeping until nearly 2:00, we ventured into the nearby village for a late lunch, nothing too exciting but here is a little something to share. More to come.
The village of Konigwinter
Just a note, I am heading to Europe today until the end of the month! I will be blogging about my trip from Europe so stay tuned!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with Ann of Ann Roth Shoes, and I had a blast shooting pictures of her shoes. Talk about a kid in a candy store, wow! I love her shoes!
You can visit her website via the link above and u will fall in love too!
with Ritzy Bee!
This week, Kathryn from Snippet & Ink is listing her 10 favorite things about fall via guest blogger at Ritzy bee.
I was a fall bride because this time of year truly warms my heart. I love everything about it, the falling leaves, halloween, plaid blankets, pumpkins, etc. I could go on and on! I have 4 fall weddings coming up and I am excited to capture some of mother natures wonder in the process.
This past weekend flew by but it was one to remember! My kids have the most busy little lives and that keeps us busy too. After a morning of karate, T-ball and Soccer, my youngest and I headed to Chattanooga for a short visit with some friends. Their daughter, Izzy celebrated turning 4 in true fashion (a dress up party). Here are a few pictures of McKenna showing off her modeling moves at the party!

This week has flown by, I have been so busy with work and the kids that my head is spinning! And of course the weekends are always full of adventure at our house, and I would not want it any other way!

For the past few months, I have been planning a weekend of events surrounding my husbands 40th birthday! It was a lot of fun (and work)! To wrap up the weekend, I hosted a party for 32 of our closest friends and family on our front lawn, It was a blast. I will share some of the action shots later but for now, here are some detail shots taken by my assistant. Of course I have to thank Ashley Baber for helping me plan and excute some of my ideas!
This past week, I came across a story on another blog about a fellow blogger who her and her husband were badly burned in a plane crash that killed two people. If some thing like this happened to me and my family, I would be honored and touched by the response that I see from fellow bloggers trying to reach out and help them. So here you go:

I was so excited to shoot some of Frolicks fall line last night, it was so much fun but boy am I sore today! Adrienne the owner and designer or frolick was of my brides this year and I love her work. You can visit her site at: www.shopfrolick.com .
Last year I featured Adrienne & Zealous's custom Save the date, it was by far the coolest I have ever seen. It was only until this morning that I found out who created the card, it was Savor the Date! If you are looking for wedding stationary that is truly a reflection of you, this is the place! Here is a sample from their website:

Today, my youngest started kindergarden! I think her parents were more excited then she was! At 5 they do not realize what a milestone it is to see them off after 5 years at home, or to have them in a school that you love and are excited about. Before we know it, she will be heading to college and I will be a basket case!
Oh my, what a weekend! As my little ones head to school tomorrow this weekend seemed like a tornado! School tours, pool, kids, yard work, rescue a cat or two, etc. CRAZY! In all the madness, I made it down to Serenbe to photography Megan & Paul's after wedding session. The after session is a great way to get some funand relaxed images of the bride & groom!

A friend of mine bought this dress and never wore it after changing the over all scheme of the wedding. She would like to sell it for $200. If your interested, please shoot me an email and I will forward you her info.
Dress - Size. 6

Last week before my little ones birthday and before I decided to take off to Miami, I stopped by my friend Amy Bransford's lovely Skin Care Space and photographed it & a few products for her. Boy, it was HOT that day! Here is the result, her space is so sweet and warm. A true reflection of what she would want someone to feel! Congrats Amy on the new space!

This fall I am going to walk 60 miles over 3 days to raise money for breast cancer, please support me in this adventure! You can view my personal page at: http://08.the3day.org/site/TR/Walk/AtlantaEvent?px=2469129&pg=personal&fr_id=1181&et=ySKPJc5AAZ_QofUGGUxKJw..&s_tafId=1330
Today I am working on a few books for clients and thought I would share some of the layouts I have done with you. First are a few layouts from Sarah & Erik's fall wedding at The Jeykll Island Club.

Please note: the orange lines are not in the final layout, they are cut off guidelines in the design software.
As a photographer, I am excited to see some of the new color waves in Wedding Decor. More and more you see people using multiple hues of the same color rather than just one solid color and then mixing it up with new color combinations that you haven't seen before. Check out these storyboards....... who wouldn't want to attend these parties?
1st - Here are images I found on Rebecca Thruss's website. I love the deep purple & mustard combo.

2nd - This lovely storyboard is from "Style Me Pretty's" color contest. Who would have thought yellow and grey would be so pretty?
I also found this invite on Wedding Paper Divas (whom I LOVE) and thought it matched the grey and mustard PERFECTLY!

This past weekend we visited my parents in NC and it was so much fun! I often forget the peace and quiet of where I was raised and that I need to share this with my children much more often! We spent the weekend at the Lake House Lodge and our favorite thing by far was jumping from the dock into the lake! Here are a few pictures. I am even brave enough to post one of me in a bathing suit! Yikes!
P.S. These shots were taken with a Canon SD700 PHD (Push Here Dummy) camera! I love that little thing for vacations!
We are off to NC to visit my parents and to enjoy some fresh mountain air! Why is going on vacation so much work? You have to get the car serviced, arrange care for the animals at home, wash laundry, pack for your husband, and, if you have kids, packing means... toys, books, movies, band-aids, "lovies", etc. By the time I am ready to hit the road, I need a NAP!
........ and just in case you were thinking about it, our house has a fence, an alarm system, nosey neighbors and a HUGE dog...........OK, not really, but one bad ass cat is watching over stuff, so don't get any ideas! Enjoy your weekend and I will post pictures from our adventure next week!
I have a confession. My husband has to spell check my blog. :)
Every week or so Dave logs on to my account and corrects my grammar and such. I admit that I can not type.. or spell... so, I will stick to taking pictures!
Just today, he sends me an IM and asks me, "Why haven't you posted any of these 30 comments on your blog?" I had no idea what he was talking about and I was in shock! What comments? It seems in my current daze from the kids being out of school, I had not noticed the comments section and I LOVE COMMENTS!
I love what I do for a living and a big part of that is people read my silly ramblings! So please, keep them coming and if you have something interesting for me to blog about, please send it my way. I can use it on the days my brain is " out to lunch"!
I had a friend call me today and ask me my opinion on a birth announcement and right away I thought about Tiny Prints!
I am a huge fan of getting pictures in the mail, so this is to die for!

Not Really! I have been M.I.A to celebrate my birthday! In that, I have been busy eating chocolate, going to the spa (twice), sleeping, sunbathing, shopping, etc. I am a happy girl! So, now I am all grown up and willing to admit it. I am not 29 this year, nor have I been 29 for the past 5 years - I am 34!
Yeah!, I admit it. I am getting old! I require naps, moisturizer, tweezers, root touch-ups, etc. With that said, I will take 34 over 24 any day... Life is good!
Yesterday to celebrate my upcoming birthday, my assistant presented me with the coolest pair of shoes! Love them! The crazy thing, they are by Carlos... as in Carlos Santana! How does a Latin man go from playing the guitar to designing women's shoes???

Getting married in 2008 and have not yet selected a photographer??? It is not too late! I have some open weekends later this year that I would like to book up & I am currently offering special "End of 2008" rates. If your getting married between now and December then please email me for special rates.
Thank you, Christine
Lisa & Daman"s wedding ceremony took place at Peachtree Christian and the reception followed at the Twelve Hotel's ballroom. The bride selected chocolate and red as her main colors and added a splash of green. The couple's furry children also made a guest appearance at the party and dined at their own puppy table!
