Rome was amazing, it did not fall in a day nor can u see it all in a day! Instead of showing you a dozen images you can see on the web any day of the week, here are a few that my husband Dave shot with an infared camera, amazing images I must say! You rock Dave!
The day before we headed to Europe, in all the rush to pack and such, I got a hair cut. What made me decide that on that day of all days to cut it, I am not sure, you know women are a little crazy like that sometimes! Regardless of the reason, I had 10 inches cut off and sent to locks of love. So bye-bye pony tail and here's hoping some little girl somewhere will get some use out of my strawberry locks!
I thought I would be blogging away from Europe but we were just so busy. So here I am, back at home, settled in and just now getting to posting images from our trip. These are from the villages of Cinque Terre on the northern coast of Italy. It was truly an amazing place, please note you will need good walking shoes to tackle these villages as they are hanging off the cliffs and do not allow cars! Loved it!
After 4 connections, 10 hours in Dublin, 2 hours on the autobahn & 40 hours without sleep, we are now in Germany! Whee! Today after sleeping until nearly 2:00, we ventured into the nearby village for a late lunch, nothing too exciting but here is a little something to share. More to come.

This past weekend flew by but it was one to remember! My kids have the most busy little lives and that keeps us busy too. After a morning of karate, T-ball and Soccer, my youngest and I headed to Chattanooga for a short visit with some friends. Their daughter, Izzy celebrated turning 4 in true fashion (a dress up party). Here are a few pictures of McKenna showing off her modeling moves at the party!

For the past few months, I have been planning a weekend of events surrounding my husbands 40th birthday! It was a lot of fun (and work)! To wrap up the weekend, I hosted a party for 32 of our closest friends and family on our front lawn, It was a blast. I will share some of the action shots later but for now, here are some detail shots taken by my assistant. Of course I have to thank Ashley Baber for helping me plan and excute some of my ideas!
I hope everyone enjoys the unoffical last weekend of summer! For the past few months, I have been planning a surprise party for my husbands 40th bithday and the time is here! I am so excited, we have a lot of family and friends coming into town as a apart of the surpirise and I have lots of fun things planned!

Today, my youngest started kindergarden! I think her parents were more excited then she was! At 5 they do not realize what a milestone it is to see them off after 5 years at home, or to have them in a school that you love and are excited about. Before we know it, she will be heading to college and I will be a basket case!
Oh my, what a weekend! As my little ones head to school tomorrow this weekend seemed like a tornado! School tours, pool, kids, yard work, rescue a cat or two, etc. CRAZY! In all the madness, I made it down to Serenbe to photography Megan & Paul's after wedding session. The after session is a great way to get some funand relaxed images of the bride & groom!

Last week before my little ones birthday and before I decided to take off to Miami, I stopped by my friend Amy Bransford's lovely Skin Care Space and photographed it & a few products for her. Today we celebrated my daughter turning 5, the kids had a blast playing on the waterslide, eating ice cream sundies and playing with all her new (girlie) toys! I can not beleive she is 5 and starting kindergadren in 2 weeks! Wow, how time flies!
This past weekend we visited my parents in NC and it was so much fun! I often forget the peace and quiet of where I was raised and that I need to share this with my children much more often! We spent the weekend at the Lake House Lodge and our favorite thing by far was jumping from the dock into the lake! Here are a few pictures. I am even brave enough to post one of me in a bathing suit! Yikes!

Yesterday before meeting with some potential clients, I did a little shopping and came across these napkins that cracked me up. And the best part, it is TRUE!
I was so EXCITED to visit N.Y.C, but not nearly as as excited as I was to get back home! Carrie Bradshaw sure does have a way of making N.Y seem like such a glamours place but it's just not for me. Maybe if I got to walk down Park Ave. in her Manolo Blahniks then I would feel different, but my tired nikes are very happy to be resting in my closet back home here in Atlanta.
Wednesdays are my sit at the computer and edit, edit away day but today I have the windows open, the air is cool and I can hear the birds outside. If you have to be stuck inside, this is a nice way to do it. I came across this image today at Rebecca Thuss and I wanted to follow this girl where ever she was headed. I thought it represented the springs beauty perfectly!

Today I am in search of some inspiration. I had one of those days where nothing went as planned. The best fix for days like this for me, is to crawl in bed and read a magazine or check out other blogs. Now I am a happy girl.

This morning the girls at the Paisley Umbrella surprised Katriesa with a baby shower at our monthly meeting. It was a great surprise! She is having her first child, Flora Madison in late July. Here are a few snap shots from the event.

The last few months of the year are slow for work but crazy at home. Nov 18th we celebrated our first anniversary, followed by Thanksgiving and Christmas. Christmas with 3 kids is... work, school holiday "shows" and partys, teachers gifts, christmas cards to mail, tons of food to cook (and eat), etc. It is a busy time and yet, my favorite time of the year!
This year we celebrated in our new home with our family and had a great time. Here are a few holiday snap shots. I was so busy playing hostess that I forgot to take many pictures! Thank goodness for grandma and her camera!
and finally, My husbands favorite football team is The New England Patriots, on Saturday he had the kids all dressed for the final game, they completed the season 16-0!
My husband Dave is a life long Red Sox Fan, on Sunday we were so fortunate to be there when they swept the World Series against the Rockies! It was a once in a life time experience that we owe fellow photographer: Cheryl Ungar for getting us the tickets, Thanks Cheryl!

Yesterday my son, Aidan, lost his first tooth while enjoying a lollipop! I never thought, before I became a mother, that I would find such a thing so exciting, but I do!
This past weekend we celebrated my little girl turning 4, the kids had a blast and the even I sampled the ice Cream Sundies! It was a busy busy weekend, my parents came into town for the big event, I had an amazing wedding at the Atlanta History Center and as a gift to Mckenna we surprised her with a new "big girl" room... meaning Dave and I worked all night friday putting the room together! I just noticed it was June 20th since I last posted! Wow! Over the past few weeks my husband, Dave and I wrapped up the construction of our new home and moved! It has been one of the most stressful, exhausting, etc, etc... few weeks, but I am very excited to have our new home complete and looking forward to getting settled!

The pride and love I feel for my children is something I could never express in writing, they are by far my greatest accomplishment... Today my 5 year old son tested for his 3rd karate belt & I am proud to share a few of my snap shots.
On Sunday my husband and I took our annual trip up to Boston to see a Red Sox game at Fenway Park, this year it was so COLD and raining and we lost... BOOOO! Damn those Yankees! The following day we traveled up the coast of Mass. to Manchester by the Sea to meet with one of Dave's clients. The village, which was like something out of the movies and so was the only Inn in town... It reminded us a great deal of... Pyscho! Complete with a single male inn keeper and HIS MOTHER!
